Dr Desport joined the Edanz Group as an editor in 2011.
Ms Caroline Brown
Ms Brown’s PhD research focused on investigating the microbial ecology and functional genomics of wastewater treatment. This research involved both culture-based and molecular microbiology techniques including targeted isolation of key bacterial species, whole-genome sequencing and both 16S gene clone libraries and fluorescence in situ hybridization for identification and monitoring of bacterial communities. Prior to her PhD Ms Brown specialized in the use of molecular techniques for investigating microbial communities in diverse environments, including Antarctic soils, subglacial sediments and the mammalian gut. Ms Brown is currently employed by the University of Auckland as a biology tutor and writer of research papers. She joined the Edanz Group as an editor in 2011.
