Ms Chambers specializes in Geochemistry and Earth System Science, investigating the changing relationship between the Asian monsoon and the El Nino phenomenon and completing a research project on the effects of Antarctic sea ice on climate entitled "The Palaeoceanography of the Weddell Sea." Ms Chambers works in Beijing as a writer and editor, and began working for the Edanz Group in 2009.
Mr Warwick Hastie
Mr Hastie has studied and lectured within the School of Geological Science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa since 2003. With a background in structural geology, his research has focused on the igneous intrusions in the Karoo Large Igneous Province. Mr Hastie has presented at geological and geophysical conferences and has recently begun publishing results from micro-structural and magnetic geophysical studies in high-impact, international peer-reviewed journals. Mr Hastie joined the Edanz Group as an editor in 2011.
Dr Annette Bolton
Dr Bolton’s research focuse on the geochemistry of marine carbonates for paleoclimatic reconstruction. Her PhD involved reconstructing the paleoceanography of the Southwest Pacific Ocean using fossil foraminifera from a marine sediment core. Dr Bolton has applied the use of laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry to extract trace elemental data from individual chambers of fossil foraminiferal shells (tests). This research also involved the development of a new Mg/Ca based paleotemperature calibration for the widely used planktonic species Globigerinoidesruber. Before her PhD, Dr Bolton studied heavy metals in the tissues of the red fox (Vulpesvulpes), after which she worked for 4 years in the Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health, at the University of Manchester. There she worked on a number of human health studies, including the INTERPHONE international study on adult brain tumors. Dr Bolton is now a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Hong Kong working on the geochemistry of corals from the South China Sea. Dr Bolton joined the Edanz Group as an editor in 2011.
Ms Leanne Kelly
After graduating Ms Kelly moved to Rhodes University to study fluvial geomorphology. She applied this knowledge to the management of South African river systems. She acted as a consulting geomorphological expert for the South African government as part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for the writing of state-of-river reports. Ms Kelly has also had several years' experience as a university lecturer and has supervised a number of research projects. She joined the Edanz Group as an editor in 2011.
Mr Stephen Forster
Mr Forster worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Immunogenetics in Tübingen, Germany, before leaving to work as a freelance translator and copy editor of medical books and journals, primarily for Springer Verlag. He became an in-house editor with Springer in Heidelberg before moving to Tokyo to work in Springer's Tokyo office. For the past 20 years, Stephen has worked mostly in journalism and as a freelance writer and editor for such journal publishers. Mr Forster joined the Edanz Group as an editor in 2010.
