Bonnie Gardner

Academic Background: Dr Gardner completed her PhD at the Centre for Brain Research at the University of Auckland. Her thesis was recognized as one of the top theses of the year, earning her a place on the Dean’s List. Her research is focused on changes that occur in the human brain in Parkinson’s disease, and she is particularly interested in how and where Parkinson’s disease pathology might begin in the brain. She is knowledgeable in biomedical science, neuroscience, biological sciences, psychology, genetics, neurological diseases, and medicine.Publishing History: Dr Gardner has published papers in journals including Scientific Reports and PLoS One. She has also presented her research at local and international conferences.Editing and Reviewing Experience: Dr Gardner has edited manuscripts for both students and colleagues at her institution. She has also copy-edited study materials and online content for clarity of language and grammar, and she has helped hundreds of authors have their work published in journals such as Nature Communications, Cell Reports Medicine, Journal of Neuroinflammation, and PLoS Computational Biology.
