Academic Background: Dr Kreiner is an accomplished cellular neuroscientist with a particular interest in ion channel modulation. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Pediatrics Department at Emory University, where she investigated the role of reduced and oxidized glutathione in Na+ channel regulation in the lung. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Pharmacology at Emory University, where her work focused on creating and testing a knock-in mouse model of a genetic mutation that causes episodic ataxia type 2 in humans. She earned her PhD from Emory University, where her doctoral research focused on factors that modulate Ca2+-dependent regulation of neuronal Ca2+ channels. Dr Kreiner has expertise in mammalian physiology, cellular and molecular biology, genetics, animal behavior assays, pharmacological assays, and computational methods and simulations.Publishing History: Dr Kreiner has published peer-reviewed articles in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, The Cerebellum, the Journal of Neurophysiology, PLoS One, the American Journal of Physiology—Lung Cellular and Molecular Physiology, the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology, and Experimental Neurology. She has presented at conferences including the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience.Editing Experience: Dr Kreiner has been a freelance editor since 2014 and joined Edanz Group as an editor in 2019.
