Marine Barnabe

Academic Background: Dr Barnabe is a biochemist currently working in veterinary research, with a particular focus on equine immunology and endocrinology. She has previously conducted research on human infectious diseases and has spent time working in a drug discovery laboratory aiming to develop novel compounds against tuberculosis and malaria. Prior to her current research position at the Royal Veterinary College, Dr Barnabe gained experience as a scientist in the animal welfare charity sector. Her expertise includes biochemistry, pharmacology, cell biology, immunology, veterinary science, animal welfare, and the ethical review of animal studies.

Publishing History: Dr Barnabe has published several peer-review papers in academic journals and has presented her research at international conferences in the UK, Ireland, and Switzerland.

Editing and Reviewing Experience: Dr Barnabe has worked as a scientific editor for over 6 years and has edited more than 500 manuscripts and doctoral theses.
