Maria Mulrooney

Academic Background: Dr Mulrooney graduated from the National University of Ireland with a PhD in English. An experienced teacher of English and French, she was an Advising Examiner for the Irish Department of Education and she works as a dissertation supervisor for Masters in Education students.

Editing and Reviewing Experience: Dr Mulrooney has worked as a freelance copy editor for the past 9 years. She has completed professional training courses by CIEP and is adept at editing for grammar, logical flow, and conciseness in manuscripts intended for publication. She is a Professional Member of CIEP, IPEd (The Institute of Professional Editors), and AFEPI (The Association of Freelance Editors, Proofreaders & Indexers of Ireland). Dr Mulrooney joined Edanz as an Editor in 2024.
